Lord Jesus, you stand at the door of our hearts and knock,
inviting us to open ourselves to the gift of faith
so that eternal life may be ours
by knowing the Father and Holy Spirit who with you, the Son,
are the One God, living and true.
During the Year of Faith, with the apostles we pray:
“Lord, increase our faith” (Lk 17:5).
And with the father in the gospel seeking a miracle for his son, we cry out:
“Lord, I believe; help my unbelief” (Mk 9: 24).
Strengthen our belief
in what has been divinely revealed,
handed down in Scripture and Tradition,
and faithfully interpreted and taught in your Holy Catholic Church.
Make fruitful in us the celebration of the sacraments as mysteries of faith,
so that we may be transformed from glory to glory
as sons and daughters destined for heaven.
Transform our daily living by the gift of faith,
so that we may be convincing signs and heralds to others
of the Kingdom to come.
Following Mary and the saints as heroic models of faith, may we believe,
celebrate, and live in your love, now and always. Amen.
