Please consider joining us in Marian Consecration. According to Saint Pope John Paul II, the whole purpose of consecrating or entrusting ourselves to Mary, is so that she can bring us to the pierced side of Jesus, which is the fountain of mercy. In other words, Mary’s whole role is to help us experience the mercy of God. And she does it best when we consecrate ourselves to her. This is why Saint Louis de Montfort said that a total consecration to Jesus through Mary is the “quickest, easiest, surest and most perfect” path to becoming a saint.
The most popular method of Marian Consecration is the retreat developed by Father Michael Gaitley in his book: 33 Days to Morning Glory. You can do this retreat by yourself, on your own time if you want. However, I invite you go even deeper by joining with others of us, who will do this retreat as a group. We will meet at on Wednesday afternoon’s for 6 weeks at the Knights of Columbus Hall beginning on April 10th at 4:30 pm. We will review Fr. Gaitley’s DVD and have small discussion groups each week. Then each day read the few pages in the book for a reflection on Marian Consecration. We will then finish with completing our consecration on May 13th, the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima.
The retreat is free; all you need to do is get a copy of the book 33 days to Morning Glory. It is currently available online at Amazon for as little as 1.99 used.
For those of you who have never made the consecration, now is the best time ever! For those of you who have already consecrated yourself to Mary, well now is the perfect time to renew it.
